Clocking in at 5:24, "Haunted" sets the tone for the remainder of the album. It has a wonderful symphonic buildup that instantly peaks the listener's interest and at the 1 minute mark comes blasting in at full throttle. Full of melodic vocal harmonies, brutal growls and excellent instrumentation, the song is simply rad. Bred on a wide-ranging number of differing bands, the members of Worth Dying For have taken their varied influences and herein created something cool.

An unbelievable sound quality. This band doesn't have a label yet !? The first few songs of an album are usually the best. But this time, the whole thing is both diverse and constant. I never got bored of listening to the record, and listening to it again! I simply did not want to reach the end of it. 9/10

It can be truly hard to find an album that can force the listener into whatever desired state of emotion that the band is bringing forth. But Worth Dying For have released something that makes the listener really feel the anger and at times incredibly uplifting emotion that this album contains. "Tears and Ashes" is truly a roller coaster for those emotions and still contains plenty of catchy riffs, melodies and a hint of technical and progressive skill to keep metal fans rather happy.

So on with the album... and what a great album it is! This isn't one of my favourite genres, but as soon as I heard this band they immediately got my attention. It is hard to put them in a direct genre as each track brings in something different. They reminded me a lot of old Killswitch Engage and In Flames and have similarities to Into Eternity....and have some impressive guitar riffs that reminded me of Children of Bodom. As soon as I thought I knew where the album was going, it took another turn in direction, keeping each track unique and individual.

This band has talent all over the place, and also a great production sound, nice artwork, and even a little niche of their own cut out of the cloths of a few prominent and popular metal subgenres, taking some of the best elements of them all and tying it together with musical skills.
